In short: a personal coach that reads YOUR numbers and YOUR exploits and tells you what to study first — now also in conversation, hand by hand and in reports.

What it is

The AI Mentor is the app's most complete feature and the reason the Max plan exists. Unlike a generic AI analysis, it's trained on your own data: it cross-references your stats for the period with the exploits you're leaving on the table and returns actionable guidance, the way a coach would — not a pile of numbers.

Important: the engine behind the Mentor is based on population exploitation (what the "field" at your stakes does wrong and how to punish it), not pure GTO. The idea is to show you where to make money against the real players you actually face.

What it delivers

Chat

A chat with the mentor about your game. You ask in plain language ("am I calling too much on the river?", "how do I attack the regs at my stake?") and it answers by looking at your data, not generic advice. When you ask for a specific number — a stat by position, your hit rate in a spot, your opening range vs. the solver — it looks up the exact data on the spot, instead of staying at a summary level. It's the most natural way to get an answer without generating a whole report.

Tournaments mode

Players with MTT or Sit & Go hands see a Cash game | Tournaments selector in the Chat header. Players who mostly play tournaments (more hands in the last 30 days) land straight in Tournaments mode.

The Mentor knows your plan. If you picked a focus on the Mentor card on Home, it chats knowing what it is, where you started, how you've done since you picked it and the goal, plus the next spots in the queue and the focuses you already worked on. The first suggestion becomes "How is my focus going?", and the Talk about this focus button on the Home card opens the tournament chat. In Tournaments mode, the mentor only uses data from that game type: official results kept separate by currency, frequencies as percentages with the sample, position, format, and the Hero's available stack at the decision. Cash and tournament chat histories remain separate.

The tournament mentor speaks in percentages (e.g. "VPIP 17.9% over 15,115 hands") with the same coach style as cash: what the number means, what to do and where to click. When the question calls for it, it looks up on its own the Push/fold × Nash comparison (your short stack, up to 15bb, against the chip-based Nash chart — the only right/wrong ruler the app has for tournaments; near the bubble or final table ICM changes the decision) and the What to study in tournaments list, your most recent tournaments, and the by position / by stack breakdowns, and your play in each Harrington zone (steals, blind folds, open-shoves and open-folds) against the theory and the player pool. Answers link to the right screen.

This first version is deliberately factual. It does not carry cash target bands, Leak Buster verdicts, 100bb ranges, or cash diagnoses into tournaments, and it does not invent ICM, payouts, tournament phase, or expected value that the imported data cannot prove. When the sample is insufficient, the mentor states the coverage and points to a review slice.

Memory

The mentor remembers what you've talked about and your profile across sessions — your goals, what you've already covered and where you left off. It's all visible in the Memories button, at the top of the chat, where you can see and delete whatever you want. Anything that comes from your diagnosis (your leaks) is always recalculated, so the memory never goes stale: if you fix a leak, it disappears on its own.

Long-term memory is disabled in Tournaments mode. This prevents a cash conclusion from leaking into MTT analysis; the regular tournament chat history is still saved.

Study plan (Pro and Max)

It lives in the Study menu (PRO badge): it's the home of the focus you pick on the Mentor card on Home, with two tabs (Tournaments and Cash game; it opens on the one you play most):

• Tournaments: your current focus with the start → now → goal bar (measured since you picked it, 2 tournament days), the next in the queue (tap one to make it your focus) and the timeline of every focus you finished or changed, with how it ended (hit the goal, improved, same or worse). History starts on 09/29/2026.
• Cash game: the history of every session plan (the focus, the missions and how they went). The cash focus is still picked on the Home card.
• On Max, the top shows the Mentor's reading of your plan and the Talk about the plan button. On Pro, that part is locked.

Reviewed hands

This is the mentor's notebook. Every hand you send it to analyze is saved here, with the lesson from the review: the situation, what your hand was worth there, why the line cost (or made) you money, and what to do differently. It works on any hand, not just the costliest ones. Nothing gets deleted when you review a new one. At the top, the notebook shows what keeps coming up in your lessons (e.g. "Value — 9 of 22") and the themes work as filters: click "3-bet / 4-bet pots" to see only those lessons.

Reports

Ready-made reports on your game, by period. Instead of a generic report, the mentor cross-references your stats for the window with the exploits on that theme and delivers a focused write-up. Past reports stay archived — generating a new one doesn't erase the old ones.

Tournament reports. With the Tournaments selector, four templates: your last tournament day, the last 7 days, the last 30 days and your whole history. The mentor writes the period summary (results, with the variance caveat), preflop (VPIP, PFR, steal, fold to steal, 3-bet, with the sample), push/fold against the Nash chart and the next step. Tournament reports have their own archive, separate from cash.

Progress

An interactive chart of your trajectory: your stats (VPIP, PFR, 3-bet, C-bet…) moving toward the target range, over your most recent hands, with your result (bb) overlaid. The page opens on your #1 weakness (the same as Diagnosis' "Where to start") and the buttons follow what costs you the most. Toggle each stat on and off, choose the window (500 to 10,000 hands) and see whether the adjustment is paying off. And the mentor gives you the read: "this adjustment is converging with the gain" or "that wasn't the bottleneck." It's the memory of your progress turned into a voice.

Tournament progress. Players who mostly play tournaments open Progress in its tournament version (the Cash game | Tournaments selector sits at the top). It's the same chart as cash — your stats (VPIP, PFR, 3-bet, steal, c-bet…) over your tournament hands — but without a target range: ideal ranges are for cash, and tournament stats change with stack depth and antes. Instead, each stat shows where it's heading (going up, going down or steady). The Mentor's read explains what changed. Below it you get your Nash chart accuracy when shoving and calling all-ins, by month (by week with a short history), and the results of each period.

The mentor's voice in your session (before and after)

The mentor also shows up in your Session Ritual: a focus line opening the check-in before you play, and the "your mentor's read" at the debrief after you play — a short verdict on what you did well and what to review. Always based on your real numbers.

What you can ask in Chat

The mentor knows your game in depth and looks up the exact data on the spot. Some examples of what to ask:

How to use it

1. Go to the Mentor tab (top menu).
2. In Chat, choose Cash game or Tournaments when the selector is available, then send your question and talk about your hands and numbers. Use the Memories button (at the top of the chat) to see and edit what the mentor keeps about you.
3. In Study plan, see your focus, the goal and what comes next.
4. In Reviewed hands, pick a hand and ask for a review — then come back here to reread the lessons.
5. In Reports, generate a report for the period to get the full picture.

Common questions

• Do I need Max? Yes. The AI Mentor is exclusive to the Max plan. On Free and Pro you see a preview of what it does; to actually use it, subscribe to Max in Plans and Subscription.
• Does Chat already exist? Yes — Chat is live. You talk to the mentor about your game right in the chat, and it looks up your data on the spot.
• When does Tournaments mode appear? For Max customers who already have processed MTT or Sit & Go hands. Without tournament hands, Chat stays in Cash game mode only.
• Does it remember conversations? Yes. The mentor keeps what you've talked about and your profile across sessions. You control it all in the Memories button (see and delete whatever you want). Your diagnosis data is always recalculated, so the memory never goes stale.
• Where's the notebook? It's the Reviewed hands section — every hand you sent for review stays there with the lesson.
• Is there a usage limit? Yes, a generous quota per 7-day window, to keep quality up. The Mentor panel shows how much you've used.
• Does it use GTO? Not as its base. The engine is about exploiting the population at your stakes — it tells you how to punish the mistakes the field makes, not the theoretical equilibrium play.
